Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Discover Canada Tours (“the Tour Operator”) to help plan your trip. The purchase of travel, accommodation, insurance or other products or services (“Travel Services”) through Discover Canada Tours constitutes an agreement between you and Discover Canada Tours.
By booking Travel Services you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you make a booking on behalf of other participants, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept these Terms on behalf of all participants in your party.
These Terms affect your legal rights, including your right to sue. Please read them carefully.
Prices
CAD: All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CA$). Rates are subject to tax increases unless otherwise stated.
Not Included in Price
Unless expressly stated, prices do not include travel to the departure point, airfares, passport and visa fees, travel insurance, baggage charges, airport fees, taxes, gratuities, extra meals, ferry tolls, National Park fees, laundry, alcoholic beverages, optional tours, porterage, or personal expenses.
Changes in Prices & Itinerary
Prices and itineraries are subject to availability and may change due to fuel surcharges, supplier costs, government fees, or other external factors. Discover Canada Tours reserves the right to adjust prices without notice.
Payments, Fees & Changes
Payment must be made in Canadian funds. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Credit card authorization constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Credit Card Payment Administration Fee
All fees are included unless otherwise stated.
Cancellations
Cancellation by the Participant
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by letter, email, or fax. Weekend days and statutory holidays are not counted toward cancellation deadlines.
For bookings made before March 1, 2026 the following cancellation terms will apply:
- On or before February 15, 2026: Full refund minus a 10% service fee
- After February 15, 2026: No refund
For bookings made after March 1, 2026 the following cancellation terms will apply:
- On or before April 15, 2026: Full refund minus a 10% service fee
- After April 15, 2026: No refund
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover 100% of tour costs.
Cancellation by the Operator
If Discover Canada Tours cancels a tour (excluding Force Majeure), you may choose:
- A substitute tour of equal or greater value
- A lesser value tour with a refund of the price difference
- A full refund of all monies paid
Discover Canada Tours is not responsible for incidental or consequential losses including visas, non-refundable flights, parking, or loss of enjoyment.
Service Dogs & Accessibility Policy
Certified service dogs with valid ID are welcome in accordance with BC’s Guide Dog and Service Dog Act. Please notify us at the time of booking.
- Emotional support animals are not permitted
- Some attractions may have restrictions
Facility Limitations & Liability
By booking, all guests acknowledge and accept the following conditions:
No Air Conditioning (A/C):
All rooms and facilities at the residences are not equipped with air conditioning. No refunds will be provided for A/C-related concerns.
Construction Noise:
Guests should expect ongoing construction noise between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM on weekdays. No refunds will be provided for construction-related concerns.
Unused Services
No refunds will be issued for unused services or missed departures.
Responsibility
Discover Canada Tours acts solely as an agent for independent suppliers and is not liable for their acts or omissions.
Passports & Travel Documentation
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure all passport, visa, and entry requirements are met.
Accommodation Policies
Room keys must be returned upon checkout or a $250 administration fee will be charged.
Noise complaints will result in a minimum $500 fine per occurrence.
Smoking / Vaping Policy (Zero Tolerance): Smoking or vaping of any kind (including tobacco and cannabis) is strictly prohibited inside all residential buildings. A minimum fine of $500.00 will be charged, plus any additional cleaning or damage fees. Violations may also result in immediate eviction.
Furniture Policy: All furniture must remain in its original position in guest rooms and common areas. Any furniture that is moved or rearranged will result in an additional charge.
Housekeeping Policy: Daily housekeeping service is not provided. Guests are responsible for maintaining reasonable cleanliness of their rooms. Additional cleaning required will result in extra charges.
Force Majeure
Discover Canada Tours is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.
Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, with jurisdiction in Vancouver, BC.
Liability Release & Agreement Not to Sue
By booking, you waive all claims against Discover Canada Tours arising from Travel Services. Participation involves inherent risks.
Claims
Any claim must be submitted in writing within 60 days of tour completion and arbitration commenced within one year.
Media Policy
Discover Canada Tours may use photos or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes.
Insurance
Medical and cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Certain tours require mandatory coverage.
